Who we are

Nesher Equipment Canada is operated by Les Entreprises Voltis Inc. (“Voltis”, “we”), the authorized Nesher distributor for Eastern Canada, based in Shawinigan, Quebec.

Our Privacy Officer is the person responsible for the protection of personal information at Voltis, and can be reached at info@nesherequipment.ca.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you give us through the site, plus the limited technical information needed to run it.

• Quote requests and questions: your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number, company and message, along with the model, attachments, options and delivery province you selected. We use this to answer you and prepare your quote.
• Saved configurations: your email address and the configuration you built, so we can email it to you.
• Newsletter: your email address and language, to send you occasional emails about new articles. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Online orders: your name, email address, phone number and company, the configuration you ordered and the deposit paid. We use this to process and deliver your order and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure page; we never receive or store your card number.
• Technical information: your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse of our forms, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

When we receive a request, we create or update a contact record in our customer management system and may reply by email or by phone at the number you gave us.

Cookies and measurement

We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and gives us aggregated statistics only (pages viewed, country, type of device).

Google Ads cookies, which tell us whether our advertising leads to quote requests, are switched off by default. We only ask whether you accept them if you arrive from one of our Google ads, and they are only used if you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Who handles your information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and respond to you:

• Vercel: website hosting and visit statistics.
• Resend and Microsoft 365: sending and receiving email.
• Stripe: payment of deposits.
• Google: advertising measurement, only if you accept advertising cookies.
• Odoo: our customer management system, which we operate ourselves.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep requests and contact records for as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your project, and order and invoice records for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and payments are processed by Stripe rather than by us.

Your rights

You can write to our Privacy Officer at info@nesherequipment.ca to:

• see the personal information we hold about you, or receive a copy of it;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent, including unsubscribing from our emails;
• ask us to delete it or to stop using it.

We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
